This role ensures seamless daily operations, fosters a culture of warmth and inclusiveness, and upholds Kimpton’s commitment to creating unique, tailored experiences for every guest.

Part of the role is physical, and you will be on your feet some of the day, so fitness will be key for you, although reasonable adjustments will be made where we can. There’s a lot of people around in the hotel, so you will need to be able to communicate well with everyone. We would love it if you were multi-lingual, but it’s not essential. 

You will be the first point of contact for guests upon arrival, ensuring a warm welcome and seamless experience. This role is pivotal in creating a positive first impression by assisting with luggage, providing property and local area information, and delivering exceptional customer service throughout the guest’s stay.

 

Guest Services 

Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival and departure, offer assistance with luggage and personal items. Escort guests to their rooms, explaining room features, hotel amenities, and safety procedures. Provide information about local attractions, dining, transportation, and events to enhance the guest experience. Assist with special requests, such as arranging taxis, valet parking, or delivering items to rooms (e.g., packages, messages, or amenities). 

 

Luggage Handling

Safely transport, store, and retrieve guest luggage during check-in/check-out. Tag and track stored luggage to prevent loss or misplacement. Assist with group arrivals/departures, coordinating luggage logistics for efficiency.

 

Lobby and Public Area Maintenance 

Ensure the lobby, entrance, and bell desk areas are clean, organized, and welcoming. Monitor and report maintenance issues or safety hazards (e.g., broken equipment, spills).

 

Team Coordination 

Collaborate with front desk, concierge, and valet teams to streamline guest services. Communicate VIP arrivals or special requests to relevant departments.

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

 

A focused individual with passion, personality, individuality, integrity, creativity, drive for continuous improvement and delivering outstanding guest service. Someone who has worked 2+ years in bell/valet operations, (luxury hotels preferred). Flexibility to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Has exceptional communication (English fluency; additional languages a plus).  Proficiency in hotel PMS (e.g., Opera, Fidelio).  Valid driver’s license (for valet supervision). Ability to lift 20kg, stand for extended periods, and work outdoors in varying weather. Sound familiar?

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

 

Diploma /higher education qualification/equivalent in Hospitality specialisation or related field. 

Two to four years of experience in a hospitality with direct supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience in similar role.

Must speak local language. Other languages preferred.
