Your day to day

Learning Technology Ecosystem  

  • Partner across groups, internal and external, to evaluate and optimize existing and emerging opportunities, inclusive of integration and data management and usage,  to support Learning Strategies and maximize the investment  
  • Partner with Global & HR Technology, Key internal stakeholders,  vendors, and service providers to evaluate existing solutions, and identify optimal solutions and enhancement in support of existing and emerging business needs. 
  • Develop and direct prioritization for product technology enhancements  
  • Engage and drive vendor and service provider accountability regarding existing and emerging service or enhancement requests to drive solutions and resolutions in accordance with the schedule of strategic and event-driven initiatives for Learning. 
  • Partner with Learning Leadership and service providers in shaping the HR Technology roadmap for Learning in support of the enterprise strategies through release feature review, and consolidation of strategic decision points. 
  • Lead the research, solutioning, and implementation activities for multiple initiatives across the Learning ecosystem. 
  • Identify risks and cross-discipline impacts, define actions, and collaborate on decisions to drive eco-system solutions to completion 
  • Foresee, identify, and resolve problems 
  • Support partners, and functional team members in preparing for and facilitating leadership conversations 

Product Delivery 

  • Partner with HR Delivery resources to drive the creation of integrated deployment strategies and plans based upon the HR Technology Roadmap 
  • Partner with key internal and external groups and individuals to manage the execution of deployment strategies 
  • Partner with Technology Services, service providers, learning partners, and HR Delivery regarding the HR Technology defects and support 

Discipline Partnership 

  • Foster strong relationships to fully understand business needs and drive results that support the strategy. 
  • Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems. 
  • Work effectively across workstreams to manage cross-discipline activities 
  • Escalate risks, issues and decisions needed to leadership. 
  • Present to key stakeholders on project status as well as risks and issues and decisions needed 
  • Partner on escalations for assigned discipline(s); collaborate and/or lead efforts to resolve escalated issues 

Support and Enforce Governance Activities 

  • In partnership with others, drive the implementation and compliance to a governance framework to manage effective operations for initiatives. 
  • Manage program tools to enable planning for the deployment of Learning Technology initiatives, and to help inform Change Management, Communications, and Learning requirements 
  • In collaboration with the COE, and through partner feedback, strive for continued process improvement and evolution of all user experiences across the Learning Technology eco-system. 

Additional Responsibilities 

  • Successfully manage work and members of Applied Learning Technology Team, finding efficiencies and opportunities for enhanced services   
  • Establish Effectiveness and Effectiveness measures,  and report out to leadership on regular cadence  
  • Inform and/or update leadership, peers, and colleagues subordinates on relevant information in a timely manner. 
  • Present ideas, expectations, and information for executive-level audiences. 
  • Use problem solving methodology for decision making and follow up. 
  • Deliver the change management and communications strategy, including stakeholder engagement, success metrics and tracking mechanisms.   

What we need from you

  • Prior configuration experience with Learning Management Systems (SumTotal and other Cornerstone products would be advantages), Content Management Systems (Xyleme Syndicate would be advantages), Learning Record Stores, Learning Experience Platforms, Artificial Inelegance, Adaptive Learning Platforms powers personalization tools 
  • Experience working in complex and different eco-systems with multiple solution providers and products. 
  • Experience working in a consultative role, that requires coordination across a different set of stakeholders. 
  • Experience planning deployment efforts to large stakeholder groups. 
  • Experience developing and delivering executive-level content. 
  • Ability to accomplish results through others, particularly by establishing relationships. 
  • Ability to support and enforce program governance. 
  • Have strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills; able to take large volumes of complex information and present it in a clear and concise manner to senior management. 
  • Can quickly gain a clear and comprehensive understanding of Human Resource, Learning and Business strategies, priorities, and initiatives and represent them to various constituencies
  • Have strong business acumen and service orientation. 
  • Can make decisions in a timely manner, sometimes with incomplete information and under tight deadlines and pressure. 
  • Can work in a matrix organization, partnering with resources to achieve results through others. 
  • Can address difficult issues and guide others toward the accomplishment of identified, meaningful goals.

  • Naturally curious and connected to what is happening in the marketplace including emerging trends, future-facing requirements, and disruptors to the status quo. Maintains knowledge of new developments in learning. 
  • Demonstrated drive and resilience to push things forward coupled with know-how in how to get things done in IHG.  

Travel - limited 10%

Location - this role can be based in any major metropolitan US city

The salary range for this role is $140,000 to $150,000.  This role is also eligible for bonus pay.  We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401K, and other benefits to employees.
