Your day to day

What’s on the menu for your next career move? As our Banquet Manager, you could be leading the charge to ensure our guests enjoy a truly memorable experience. The InterContinental Seattle Bellevue is looking for looking for individuals who have extensive luxury experience in banquet operations, a strong knack for people-management, and a deep passion for creating stellar events. We are looking for a leader who gives our Banquet associates the sense that they can grow, and at the same time, mentor those who are starting their professional careers.

 

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly:

  • Manage Banquet operations.
  • Be responsible for motivating, developing, and managing the Banquets team.
  • Develop and monitor event spaces, marketing plans, and objectives.
  • Coordinate Banquet operations with other hotel departments (Catering, Culinary, Housekeeping, stewarding etc.) to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Coach and counsel employees to reflect brand service standards and procedures.
  • Resolve customer complaints as appropriate to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality.
  • Implement procedures to increase guest and associate satisfaction.
  • Exercise quality control for both Food and Beverage.
  • Maintaining standards of service and ensure their implementation.
  • Maintain and execute schedules for the banquet team.

What we need from you

What we need from you:

  • 2-5 years of progressive hotel Food & Beverage experience, 2 years of supervisory experience in Food & Beverage, preferably in a luxury hotel environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Service oriented style with professional presentation skills.
  • Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, proven track record in high volume concept, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line.
  • Clear concise written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and other MS platforms.
  • Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills.
  • Experience implementing new F&B concepts.
  • Must be detail oriented and have effective communication skills.

What we offer

Compensation range: $87,000-$89,000 DOE plus annual incentive plan
