JOB OVERVIEW
Clerical services of the Housekeeping department as well as multi-skilled in other areas of Housekeeping in a timely and thorough manner to ensure total guest satisfaction.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
FINANCIAL RETURNS:
- Reports damage or malfunction in hotel rooms to superior
PEOPLE:
- Meets with superior and takes on daily assigned tasks
- Attends meetings and training sessions as required
GUEST EXPERIENCE:
- Cleans and maintains guest rooms, guest corridors, linen rooms and cupboards according to set standards and procedures
- To assist with Housekeeping clerical duties
- Assist and coordinate the monthly Pest Control activity for rooms and public area
- Assist with festive decorations for the Hotel
- Assist with wedding setup in the guest rooms
- Assist in Housekeeping inventory stock take
- Assist in room setup after refurbishment
- Assist with daily cleaning of public area
- Assist and carry out planning of periodical cleaning task for rooms and corridor
- Daily cleaning of Laundromat
- To carry out tasks in linen and uniform room
- Replenishes guest supplies
- Ensures guest services specified by superiors and guests requests are promptly and courteously met
- Maintains equipment in proper state of cleanliness and repair
- Adheres to personal grooming and hygiene standards
- Creates and maintains floral arrangements
- Carry out valet services when required including delivery of linen or processing laundry orders
- Maintains a section room report
- Maintains a daily room checklist
- Report guest complaints to superior immediately
- Assist and train new hires in Housekeeping
RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS:
- Reports and submits lost and found articles to superior immediately
- Reports unusual behavior/activities on floors to supervisor
- Records room status in allocated section accurately
- Complies with hotel’s health, safety and hygiene policy
ACCOUNTABILITY
Under the general direction of the Housekeeping Manager, and within the limits of established InterContinental Hotels Group policies and procedures, responsible for attending to the control desk telephone, communication within Housekeeping and between Housekeeping and other departments, clerical services of the Housekeeping department, to multi-skilled as a Room Attendant as well as other areas of Housekeeping. You will also help to create a desired work culture around our Winning Ways of the InterContinental Hotels Group and embrace the IHG Commitment.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Primary Education or equivalent. Some housekeeping experience. Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with others; demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company. Able to speak, read and write English.
