Income Auditor
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and analytical Income Auditor to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of all hotel revenue. This role is critical within a four- or five-star hotel environment, requiring strong financial controls, attention to detail, and a clear understanding of hospitality revenue streams.
A professional overview of your role:
As an Income Auditor, you will be responsible for auditing daily revenues, reconciling financial records, and ensuring all income is correctly recorded in line with hotel policies, brand standards, and accounting procedures.
Key responsibilities include:
- Auditing and verifying daily revenue from all outlets, including Rooms, Food & Beverage, Spa, and other revenue centers.
- Reconciling PMS and POS transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness of postings.
- Reviewing discounts, voids, allowances, rebates, and complimentary transactions for proper authorization.
- Ensuring correct revenue classification and posting in accordance with hotel accounting standards.
- Preparing daily income audit reports, summaries, and variance analysis for Finance and Management review.
- Investigating discrepancies and coordinating with Front Office, F&B, Spa, and other departments to resolve issues promptly.
- Supporting month-end closing activities related to revenue and income accounts.
- Ensuring compliance with internal controls, SOPs, audit requirements, and brand policies.
- Maintaining accurate documentation, reports, and audit trails.
- Assisting with internal and external audits as required.
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience as an Income Auditor or Night Auditor, preferably in a four- or five-star hotel environment.
- Strong understanding of hotel revenue streams, internal controls, and audit procedures.
- Experience with PMS and POS systems (Opera, Micros, or similar systems will be an advantage).
- High level of accuracy, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and basic financial reporting.
- Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic language will be an advantage.
- Strong sense of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle pressure.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays if required.
- Accounting or finance-related qualifications will be an advantage.
