Your day to day
Manage strategic community impact efforts for the Americas Region, collaborating with global peers, cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to deliver progress toward Communities commitments in IHG’s Journey to Tomorrow responsible business plan.
- Manage the implementation of Corporate Responsibility strategies, objectives and initiatives in the Americas region for global focus areas within Journey to Tomorrow's Communities pillar. (e.g. Food Security, Disaster Response, Skills Training)
- Lead strategic charitable partnerships and activations in the Americas region in line with IHG’s global Communities focus areas.
- Collaborate with global and regional Communities teams to align best practices and to coordinate delivery of global programs, such as Giving for Good month and annual data assurance processes.
- Manage disaster relief response processes to support impacted colleagues and communities during in-region natural disasters.
- Support internal engagement with leaders, and strategic alignment with cross-functional working teams, to drive progress toward IHG's community impact priorities.
- Drive initiatives that empower a culture of volunteerism and increase volunteer activation within the Americas region.
- Ensure timely and accurate data capture of all community activity, and maintain regional reporting to key stakeholders.
- Support the delivery of a “center of excellence” model by offering strategic counsel on efforts owned by other teams across the business.
- Work collaboratively with communications teams to develop Communities-oriented messaging for appropriate internal and external storytelling opportunities.
What we need from you
- Experience in strategic philanthropy, fundraising or grantmaking processes
- Proven communicator with the with the ability to effectively engage with array of internal and external stakeholders
- Proven ability to manage relationships and influence key stakeholders
- Ability to collaborate effectively with range of business partners within a highly matrixed organization
- Ability to take initiative to ensure successful delivery of outcomes in a fast-paced operating environment
- Mature project management skills to ensure effective and efficient delivery of programs
- Basic knowledge of the hospitality business model
- Understanding of the framework for U.S. charities’ day-to-day operations
- General knowledge of full range of sustainability issues, including environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues, key trends and best practice with hospitality and across industries
- Strong analytical capabilities, and ability to surface insights and craft compelling communications
- Partnership development and stakeholder management
- Globally minded, with demonstrated proficiency in other languages (oral and written) where possible
Travel - minimal 10%
Location - Our hybrid work structure is an expectation of three (3) days a week in the ATLANTA office. This expectation may be adjusted to evolve with the changing needs of the business.
The salary range for this role is $106,000 to $115,000. This role is also eligible for bonus pay. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401K and other benefits to employees.
