Role Purpose
The role is responsible for driving strategic procurement initiatives across all Thailand HMA hotels, with a key focus on cost optimization, value creation, and improving hotel profitability (GOP impact). In addition, this role will develop and implement IHG Thailand hotels procurement strategy plan, ensuring standardization, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead Thailand Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement a strategic sourcing plan for F&B categories including food, beverage, and related consumables, ensuring best value and consistency across Japan hotels.
- Drive Cost Reduction and GOP Improvement: Identify cost-saving opportunities through supplier consolidation, demand forecasting, contract negotiation, and process optimization, with the goal of reducing F&B cost ratios and positively impacting Gross Operating Profit (GOP).
- Secure Value for Owners: Identify and negotiate best-value deals with suppliers to deliver cost-effective procurement outcomes for hotel owners, while maintaining quality and operational standards.
- Supplier Management & Performance: Manage vendor relationships, conduct performance evaluations, and build partnerships that support quality, sustainability, and cost-efficiency objectives
- Lead Procurement for New Hotel Openings: Manage all procurement-related activities for OS&E during the pre-opening phase, ensuring alignment with project timelines, budgets, and brand standards.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain strong communication and working relationships with internal teams (e.g. operations, technical services, brand and design) and external partners (suppliers, consultants, hotel owners).
- Reporting & Compliance: Provide regular project and procurement updates, ensure contract compliance, and maintain transparency across all purchasing activities.
- Team Management: Develop the Procurement team strategy including hotel purchasing team, ensuring high-quality execution and continuous improvement
Key Skills & Experiences
- Track Proven experience in National procurement, category management, or supply chain, preferably in the hospitality, hotel, or foodservice industries.
- Understanding of compliance, controls, and procurement best practices in a corporate hotel environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cost optimization programs with measurable GOP impact.
- Strong knowledge of food cost drivers, product quality, and vendor networks in Thailand.
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills; able to engage confidently with senior internal stakeholders and external parties, including hotel owners
- Strong command of both Thai and English (written and spoken) is essential for effective communication in a cross-functional and multicultural environment
- Experience in rolling out procurement or ERP systems (e.g., P2P platforms) and change management in multi-property environments.

F&B Cost Savings: Achieve 5-10% savings across core F&B categories through strategic sourcing and negotiation.
GOP Impact: Improve hotel-level F&B and general consumable cost ratios and support targeted GOP margins through procurement initiatives.
New Opening: Providing support with HLG team on Pre-opening OS&E procurement and support opening timeline and brand alignment
Vendor Compliance: Ensure a good compliance with preferred supplier programs and contract terms.
System Usage: Achieve high user adoption and data accuracy in the P2P system (e.g., 90% PO compliance).
Stakeholder Satisfaction: Maintain positive feedback and collaboration scores from hotel leaders and corporate teams
