Nestled in the heart of Brisbane’s CBD, InterContinental Hotel Brisbane offers 319 spacious hotel rooms and suites, all day dining restaurant and lobby bar, outdoor pool, fitness centre and Club Lounge, all in a prime location above Queen Street Mall, perfect for exploring the city’s top attractions. We are looking for a part time Storeperson (22 hours per week) to join our Finance team!
Your day to day
You’ll support the smooth operation in Stores, working closely with Food & Beverage and Finance teams. Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing daily Stores operations
- Receiving, checking and storing food and beverage goods
- Maintaining clean, organised storerooms and fridges
- Assisting with monitoring stock levels, maintaining PAR levels and preparing market lists
- Assisting with placing orders and completing month-end stocktakes
- Inputting invoices into the Foodbuy e-Procurement system as required
- Supporting the Director of Finance and Business Support with additional duties
- Building strong working relationships across the hotel
- Adhering to IHG standards for grooming, presentation and conduct
You’ll also help maintain a safe and compliant workplace by:
- Complying with HACCP, food safety and WHS policies
- Taking pride in keeping work areas clean, safe and well organised
- Following emergency procedures, safe manual handling practices and PPE requirements
- Actively identifying and reporting workplace hazards or incidents
What we need from you
You’ll bring a positive attitude, strong organisational skills and a commitment to teamwork. You will also have:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel and brand
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities
- A current Forklift Licence
This role requires the ability to:
- Walk and stand for extended periods
- Bend, squat, kneel and lift awkward loads of 15kg or more
- Frequently push and pull loads (trolleys over 50kg)
- Occasionally climb step ladders and work with hot liquids
