Assistant Manager - In-Room Dining

As the Assistant Manager – In-Room Dining, you’ll play a key role in delivering that experience to guests who choose to dine in the comfort of their room — whether it’s a cozy breakfast, a celebration, or a late-night craving. Your leadership will ensure a seamless and elevated in-room dining experience that reflects our signature Kimpton service: thoughtful, intuitive, and always with a touch of surprise.

A little taste of your day-to-day

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

• Leading and supervising the in-room dining team to deliver prompt, polished, and heartfelt service
• Managing daily operations, ensuring orders are prepared, presented, and delivered to brand standards
• Supporting training and coaching efforts to grow a confident and guest-focused team
• Working closely with the kitchen, stewarding, and front office to ensure smooth coordination and guest satisfaction
• Handling guest feedback and service recovery with professionalism and care
• Maintaining hygiene, safety, and quality control throughout the department
• Assisting with menu development, upselling initiatives, and department goals.

What we need from you

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in in-room dining or restaurant operations, with supervisory role duties
• A higher diploma in hospitality management, restaurants, culinary management or equivalent 
• A genuine passion for hospitality, service excellence, and creating standout guest experiences
• Strong communication skills, a team-first attitude, and attention to details
• Fluency in English and Cantonese; Mandarin and other languages are a plus
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
