Assistant Night Manager

At InterContinental Adelaide, we believe that exceptional service doesn’t stop when the sun goes down. As our Assistant Night Manager, you’ll be the key point of contact overnight, ensuring every guest continues to experience the warmth, care and professionalism that defines the InterContinental brand – no matter the hour.

Working closely with the Night Manager and wider Front Office team, you’ll help manage the overnight operations of the hotel, acting as the senior leader on duty and taking the reins during critical incidents or guest concerns. You’ll set high standards across every detail – from guest service and safety to reporting– while supporting a smooth handover to the day team.

As a Assistant Night Manager, your shift will start 11:00 pm and finish 7:30 am.

Your night to night will include:

• Leading overnight hotel operations, ensuring safety, security, and exceptional guest service
• Responding promptly and professionally to guest feedback, complaints and emergencies
• Acting as the first point of contact in critical situations and confidently handling overnight incidents
• Managing the Night Audit process and ensuring accurate financial reporting
• Maintaining strong communication with all departments to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction
• Providing support and leadership to overnight colleagues across departments
• Upholding IHG’s ‘One Team’ culture and helping create a welcoming, inclusive overnight work environment

What we need from you:

• Experience: Ideally 2+ years of front office or guest service leadership, preferably in a luxury or premium hotel environment
• Leadership and Problem Solving: You’re calm under pressure, decisive, and confident in handling overnight challenges
• Guest-focused: You’re committed to making every guest’s experience memorable – even at 2am
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills; you're approachable, empathetic, and professional
• Tech Savvy: Comfortable with hotel systems – Opera PMS experience a plus
• Flexibility: Able to work night shifts, weekends, public holidays and overnights as required
• Full working rights in Australia
