InterContinental Abu Dhabi is seeking a dynamic, energetic, and hands-on Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our vibrant Belgian Sports Bar, a fast-paced outlet known for live sports screenings, premium beverages, and high-volume service.
This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who thrives in an energetic environment, leads by example on the floor, and is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences.
A little taste of your day-to-day:
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly do:
- Support the Restaurant Manager in the daily operations of the Belgian Sports Bar, ensuring smooth and efficient service at all times
- Lead and supervise the service team on the floor, especially during peak hours, live sports events, and promotions
- Ensure exceptional guest experience, handling guest feedback, concerns, and service recovery professionally
- Drive sales performance through upselling, promotions, and active guest engagement
- Maintain brand standards, service quality, and consistency in line with InterContinental and outlet guidelines
- Assist with staff scheduling, attendance monitoring, and productivity management
- Support in training, coaching, and motivating the team to maintain high performance and engagement
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, hygiene, and food safety standards
- Assist in inventory control, stock management, and cost control initiatives
- Coordinate closely with Kitchen, Bar, and other departments to ensure seamless operations
What we need from you:
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a similar role within a high-volume restaurant, sports bar, or casual dining outlet
- Strong operational knowledge of F&B service, bar operations, and guest handling
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, especially during peak periods
- Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills
- Guest-focused mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends, public holidays, and match days
- Experience within international hotel brands is an advantage
- Knowledge of POS systems and basic administrative reporting
