You’ll be working with a friendly, motivated team who you will recruit and lead with your distinctive style and work with them to develop their full potential and ensure everyone provides genuine heartfelt care to our guests. You will also work alongside our Chefs and Restaurant team, and we know that between you all we will really make a name for ourselves.

  • Control part-timers hired for specific functions and checks attendance of all permanent and casuals.

  • Maintain proper records of Sales, guest complaints, solutions and all concerns pertaining to personnel or equipment in appropriate logbooks for reference.

  • Make frequent suggestions to Management in reference to improvement of general operation, cost control and profitability. 

 

Regarding the role, it’s as the job title says really, you are responsible for providing the most unique banqueting experience in the area, leading your team to success.

  • Participate in daily briefings and monthly communication meetings to discuss various aspects of service and preparation.

  • Set and serves in functions in accordance to the Standard Operating Manual.

  • Inspect banquet areas at end of function to ensure all equipment is returned to its proper area and all areas are clean.

  • Recap all banquet checks at end of each day and turn into Night Audit.

  • Know the menu for each function served and be able to explain the major ingredients and preparation method for each item to be served.

  • Check server and Banquet Event Orders to ensure that all information is accurate.

  • Check room set-up to see that Banquet Event Orders directions are completely followed. Ensure that all public areas are neat and clean.

  • Make contact with group representatives. Explain how to make contact if needed throughout function.

  • Communicate all Banquet Event Orders changes to catering office and affected departments.

  • Coordinate with banquet staff set-ups, changes and time schedules for all functions.

  • Supervise the banquet staffs and casual staffs.

  • Check the grooming of the staffs.

  • Welcome host of function and assist any last-minute changes or arrangement in the absence of Banquet Manager.

  • Operate as a banquet server; setting-up, greeting and serving the guest and breaking-down the function.

  • Ensure a smooth operation in the outlet.

  • Attends to guest complaints, requests or inquiries regarding food and services and immediately takes all required corrective measures

  • Follow control procedures for billing before and after service

  • Maintain establishment of par stock for operating supplies to ensure smooth operation.

  • In charge of repair of fixtures, fittings and banquet operating equipment, initiates maintenance request as necessary. 

  • Implements and enforces safety regulations and house rules.

  • To assist other venues when required with the direction of the Banquet Manager and Director of Restaurants and Bars. 

 

Its a physical role and although there are the usual meetings, briefings and of course emails to check, you will be on your feet most of the day out and about chatting with your guests and your team, so fitness will be key for you, although reasonable adjustments will be made where we canWe would love it if you were multi-lingual, but its not essential.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

 

  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in banquet or F&B operations within a luxury or 5-star hotel

  • Proven supervisory experience, able to lead and coordinate banquet service teams

  • Strong knowledge of banquet service standards and luxury hospitality etiquette

  • Experience handling high-profile events (weddings, corporate, VIP functions)

  • Ability to read and execute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) accurately

  • Excellent communication and guest-handling skills, including complaint resolution

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills for multiple events

  • Ability to coordinate with kitchen and other departments smoothly

  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays

  • Professional appearance, grooming, and service-oriented attitude
