Role Purpose: 

As a Bell Person at InterContinental Mark Hopkins, San Francisco, you are the first and last impression of our guests’ stay. You play a key role in delivering exceptional service that reflects our commitment to luxury, hospitality, and personalized guest experiences. With grace, efficiency, and professionalism, you assist guests with their luggage, provide directions and recommendations, and ensure seamless arrivals and departures.

Key Accountabilities: 
• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and departure, offering a personalized and anticipatory level of service
• Assist with transporting guests’ luggage to and from guest rooms, vehicles, and storage areas
• Escort guests to their rooms, explain hotel features and amenities, and ensure they are comfortably settled
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bell desk, lobby area, and storage room
• Coordinate with valet and front desk teams to manage guest needs efficiently
• Respond promptly to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns, providing solutions with a gracious attitude
• Deliver messages, packages, and amenities to guest rooms as needed
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hotel offerings, local attractions, dining, and events to offer thoughtful recommendations
• Uphold security standards by verifying guest information before granting room access or handling luggage
• Assist during group arrivals and departures, ensuring a smooth flow of guests and luggage

Key Skills and Experiences:
• Prior experience in a guest service or bell/concierge role preferred, especially in a luxury or boutique hotel environment
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Ability to lift and carry luggage and stand for extended periods
• Knowledge of the local area, including restaurants, attractions, and transportation options
• Flexible schedule, including availability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings
• Bilingual abilities are a plus

The hourly pay rate for this role is $26.21
