This is an opportunity to build meaningful client relationships while contributing directly to the hotel's commercial success.
- Spending large portion of the week outside the hotel meeting with prospective and existing clients
- Hitting all personal and team sales goals to help us maximise profitability
- Developing new business opportunities, strengthening existing partnerships and representing Holiday Inn Auckland Airport within the Auckland community
- Converting opportunities into long term business
- Developing and maintaining relationships with key clients and outside contacts
- Previous experience in business development, sales, account management, hospitality or a customer-facing commercial role.
- Experience within the hotel, travel, tourism or hospitality industry is advantageous but not essential
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships, prospect for new business and deliver excellent customer service.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to identify and convert opportunities.
- Ability to work independently while managing a busy external sales schedule.
- Experience in hotel sales using CRM systems such as Delphi is advantageous.
- Full New Zealand driver's licence.
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout the Auckland region for client meetings and networking events.
