What’s the job? 

We are currently seeking Full Time Chef de Partie to join our team at Crowne Plaza Melbourne. Reporting to the Sous Chef or Head Chef, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes in line with IHG policies, procedures, and Crowne Plaza Melbourne standards. You will take ownership of your designated kitchen section, ensuring every dish is delivered with excellence in both quality and presentation.

Your day to day

  • Kitchen Operations & Culinary Excellence: Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to standard recipes; assist in menu planning, developing new dishes, and maintaining high culinary standards while ensuring hygiene and HACCP compliance.
  • Team Support & Development: Provide guidance, training, and coaching to kitchen staff; assist Head Chef with recruitment, performance management, and fostering a positive, communicative team environment.
  • Stock & Equipment Management: Assist with ordering, maintaining, and monitoring stock and kitchen equipment to ensure smooth daily operations and adherence to safety and operational standards.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Proven ability to interact with customers, colleagues, and third parties in a manner that reflects positively on the hotel, the brand, and the Company.
  • Strong problem-solving, reasoning, motivational, organizational, and training abilities.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree or Vocational Certificate in Culinary Arts, Culinary Skills, or a related field.
