As a Chef de Partie at Ronnie’s, our Italian restaurant, you’ll look after a section and prepare an array of dishes for the restaurant, bar, and special events. Your culinary passion and creativity will shine through in every plate, as you take pride in delivering an authentic and memorable dining experience for our guests, while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and consistency. You’ll also support, guide, and develop our Demi Chefs, Commis Chefs, Cooks, and Stewards with the support of our kitchen leaders.

Your Day to Day

  • Prepare, cook, and present authentic Italian dishes to the highest standard across the restaurant, bar, and special events.
  • Supervise your section, ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency during prep and service.
  • Support the Head Chef in menu planning, specials, and food styling, contributing creative ideas that enhance the guest experience.
  • Uphold food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards with accurate record keeping.
  • Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering, and manage storage to minimise waste and maintain cost efficiency.
  • Train, mentor, and support Demi Chefs, Commis Chefs, Cooks, and Stewards, helping them grow and succeed.
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented kitchen culture built on respect, passion, and collaboration.
  • Assist with supplier relationships to ensure the highest quality produce at the best possible price.
  • Stay up to date with culinary trends and bring new ideas to keep Ronnie’s menu exciting and relevant.

What We Need from You

  • 2–4 years’ experience as a Demi Chef or similar, with a strong passion for Italian cuisine and demonstrated supervisory experience.
  • Qualifications in Commercial Cookery/Culinary Arts from a registered training provider.
  • Previous experience in Italian or Mediterranean cuisine is highly regarded.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, solutions-focused approach to teamwork.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and time management in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of grooming, hygiene, and food safety.
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
