Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes in the assigned section according to recipes and standards.
- Ensure all mise en place is prepared, labeled, and stored correctly for daily operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation at all times.
- Follow hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards (HACCP & food handling guidelines).
- Check the freshness and quality of ingredients before use.
- Follow portion-control guidelines to reduce waste and support cost efficiency.
- Assist in receiving and storing deliveries properly.
- Coordinate effectively with other team members to ensure smooth service.
- Support the Chef de Partie with tasks during peak hours and special events.
- Report any issues with equipment, food quality, or safety to the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.
- Participate in trainings to develop culinary skills and knowledge.
