People
•Manage day to day sales leads and enquiries and build relationships with team members
•Personally build clear and open lines of communication with intra departments
Financial
•Assist in Identifying and pursue new business opportunities across corporate segment, including group and events.
•Support the implementation of sales strategies to help achieve departmental revenue goals.
•Conduct proactive sales activities such as cold calling, email outreach, and client follow-ups.
•Secure business from new, existing, and prospective clients in line with the sales strategy, negotiating optimal rates to maximise profitability.
•Build and maintain positive relationships with current clients to encourage repeat business.
•Work with the Marketing team to support promotions and sales packages.
•Deliver a high level of customer service to ensure client satisfaction and positive guest experiences.
•Effectively present and sell room rates, unique selling propositions (USPs), and hotel services in accordance with departmental guidelines.
•Confidently present the hotel’s key selling points, services, and facilities to potential clients
•Stay informed about competitor offerings and report insights to the senior team
•Actively solicit business and follow up on referrals and potential leads.
•Coordinate with IHG network properties and the reservations team as needed
Attend local sales activities, client functions, or networking events to represent the hotel
Guest Experience
•Monitors competitors activities and assists in marketing intelligence.
•Refers sales leads to appropriate personnel within the InterContinental Hotels Group.
•Services existing business through management of account bases.
•Develop and maintain a regular pattern of sales calls, meeting with principals of target market.
•Develops and maintains contact with business generators of the segment you are assigned to, and other producers closely allied to Hotel business.
•Builds profile within local market place through attendance at various events.
•Entertain clients.
•Plan and conduct familiarisation tours and site inspections.
•Maintain regular contact with the IHG hotels in your region.
Responsible Business
•Develop awareness and reputation of the hotel and the brand in the local community.
•Perform other duties as assigned. May also serve as manager on duty.
Accountability
Meeting Sales target as per the allocated segment along with the desired guest experience scores for both rooms and banquets.
【What we need from you】
•Minimum of 1 year Sales experience in service industry
•BA degree or equivalent
•Bilingual – Japanese and English
•Excellent customer relations, problem solving and time management skills
•Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office
•Experience of using Opera and BV Manager is preferred but not essential since each hotel is different and also this is industry specific
•Proven ability to creating new business opportunities
•Assertive, professional and positive with a proven ability to develop in a team environment
•Must be able to work independently and maintain a positive attitude within a very busy environment
