Demi Chef | Full Time | Holiday Inn & Suites Geelong

As a Demi Chef, your passion for presentation and dedication to delivering flavor will complete each guest’s experience. By taking pride in your workspace, keeping your standards high, and giving our menu the benefit of your expertise, you’ll create some of our guests’ most lasting memories.

      Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be: 

• Assisting the executive chef and the kitchen team in preparing, cooking and serving dishes.  
• Responsible for food quality using recipes and photo’s that are provided. 
• Maintaining a hygienic kitchen and ensuring standard operational procedures are to HACCP standards and update reports daily. 
• Maintaining correct levels of stock, ensuring correct quantity of food is produced. 
• Scheduled to cover either the breakfast shift or the dinner shift, depending on business needs. 

• At least 2 years’ experience as a Chef 
• Diploma and/or Vocational Certificate in Culinary Skills or related field. 
• Knowledge of a la carte and banquet service with modern and classical cooking techniques 
• Problem solving, reasoning and training abilities. 
• Ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties.
