Crowne Plaza West Cairo - Arkan  the 178-room new build forms part of Phase II of Arkan Plaza. The Hotel is 10 minutes away from the “new” Grand Egyptian Museum and 15 minutes from the Great Pyramids of Giza. It is also in close proximity to Cairo International Airport and will be just 10 kilometres away from Sphinx International Airport. Business and leisure travellers can get the best of both worlds with three meeting rooms and a business center along with an outdoor pool and Club Lounge

We are currently looking for a Director of Sales & Marketing to join our amazing team at Crowne Plaza West Cairo – Arkan.

 

Your day-to-day:

  • Develop and implement the annual Sales and Marketing plan aligned with the hotel's business goals.
  • Create sales plans that drive measurable incremental occupancy, increase average rates, increase volume, food and beverage and banquet sales. 
  • Interact with outside contacts: guests, vendors, and other contacts as needed.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer behaviour to adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Lead and manage the sales and marketing team to meet and exceed budgeted revenues.
  • Develop and maintain great working relationships with key clients and outside contacts to increase revenue. 
  • Schedule conventions and/or business group activities at the hotel and coordinate with other hotel-level departments to facilitate services agreed upon by the sales office and prospective client.
  • Communicate to appropriate departments all pertinent information requirements and special needs for arriving VIP’s, large groups, and other key guests.
  • Lead marketing efforts to up sell guests on hotel services, offerings, and amenities.
  • Review monthly reports and sales forecasts to analyse current/potential market and sales trends, coordinate activities to increase revenue and market share and monitor performance to ensure actual sales meet or exceed established revenue plan.
  • Create and develop special events to showcase the hotel to potential clients. Attend trade shows and major market events locally and nationally to promote new business and increase sales and marketing opportunities for the hotel.
  • Identify improvements to marketing activities and overall hotel sales performance and work with other departments.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and appraise the Sales and Marketing team members.
  • Set KPIs for Sales & Marketing team members and ensure performance reviews are conducted regularly.

What we need from you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Advanced qualification in Sales and Marketing.
  • Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive hotel sales and marketing experience, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
