As the Events Service Manager for Kimpton Tsim Sha Tsui Hong Kong, you will create an exciting, innovative, and memorable dining experience for all guests. Lead a well-rounded and knowledgeable front-of-house team. Proper guest service requires a staff that is thoroughly trained in service etiquette, product knowledge, and makes every effort to meet the needs of each and every guest.

A little taste of your day-to-day

Every day is differentbut you’ll mostly be:

  • Leading the set-up and execution of all banquet events and private functions
  • Acting as the primary liaison between operations, kitchen, and event planners
  • Ensuring all functions run smoothly on time, and above expectations
  • Motivating and coordinating a dynamic team of banquet associates
  • Overseeing cleanliness, safety, and presentation standards at all times
  • Contributing to post-event feedback and performance reporting

What we need from you

  • A minimum of 6 years’ solid experience in banquet or event service management
  • A bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, restaurants, culinary management or equivalent 
  • Ability to manage high-pressure events with multiple moving parts
  • Collaborative mindset and calm leadership style
  • Attention to details and a passion for hosting exceptional events
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Excellent command in both English and Chinese (Cantonese is a must, Mandarin is a plus), speaking and writing; additional language skills are an advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
