Food and Beverage Hostess

At InterContinental, we are looking to recruit Full- Time  enthusiastic Food and Beverage  Hostess to oversee, enhance, and ensure a pleasant dining experience for our guests. The food server will maintain a positive and respectful relationship with team members, engage with guests in a professional manner. You will perform opening duties to prepare for service and closing duties at the end of your shift.

• Greet all guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
• Maintain a friendly demeanor and presentable appearance to create a positive first impression.
• Escort guests to their assigned tables, considering their preferences and reservation details.
• Ensure guests are comfortably seated and satisfied with the arrangements.
• Offer menus and provide immediate assistance upon seating.
• Coordinate with the Waiter or Captain, communicating any specific guest needs.
• Answer phone calls professionally, handling reservations and special requests accurately.
• Maintain clear and organized records of bookings.
• Be fully familiar with the menu, wine list, and current promotions.
• Assist guests with informed recommendations based on their preferences.
• Respond to guest questions and requests courteously.
• Communicate special needs to the service team to ensure personalized service.
• Adhere to brand and hospitality protocols in all guest interactions.
• Escalate unresolved issues to supervisors with detailed information.
• Use reservation systems to log, update, and manage bookings and seating charts.
• Ensure guest information is accurate and compliant with data handling procedures.
• Promote specials and events to enhance the guest experience.
• Recommend complementary items or popular dishes to encourage upselling.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar position will be considered an asset
• Food Handling Certificate
• Excellent English both written and verbally, any other language ability will be an advantage
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skill with understanding of customer service skills
• Well-groomed, professional appearance
• Available to work shifts, weekends and holidays
