Crowne Plaza Christchurch is located in the heart of downtown Christchurch, right opposite Victoria Square and just a short walk from major attractions, including the Avon River, Town Hall, Art Gallery, Te Pae Conference Centre and the modern dining and shopping precincts.

Our hotel team is looking for a food and Beverage Team leader, and you could join this great team with us!

As Food and Beverage Team Leader you’ll keep our restaurant and the bars running smoothly and make sure everything is working well and all our guests are safe and comfortable. You'll maximise financial returns, driving developments of people, creating and maintaining a unique guest experience, executing brand standards, and building awareness of hotel and brand in the local community. . 

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

•    Supervise daily food and beverage operations on shift.
•    Provide quality service and consistent standards whilst delivering a memorable guest experience.
•    Take ownership of operational readiness, including stock, cleanliness and equipment throughout your shift.
•    Lead engaging pre-shift briefings, recognising VIPs, special occasions and daily priorities.
•    As the visible leader on the floor, you'll set the energy and pace of every shift.
•    Participate in training and development of team members.
•    Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and liquor licensing requirements.

What we need from you

•    Strong attention to detail and communication skills;
•    Previous experience within a hotel or restaurant environment.
•    Experience leading a team including coaching, training, and giving feedback to your team.
•    A warm and welcoming personality to be able to provide the best possible experience for our guests.
•    Excellent knowledge of food and beverages.
•    Ability to work varying shifts including night, weekends, and public holidays.
