Your day to day

The AV Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the setup, operation, and maintenance of all audio-visual and lighting equipment used in hotel events, beach parties, live shows, and conferences. This role ensures high-quality sound, lighting, and video experiences for guests while maintaining safety standards and delivering exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations & Event Support:

Coordinate and supervise the setup and operation of AV systems for hotel events, beach parties, DJ performances, weddings, conferences, and live entertainment.

Ensure proper functioning of sound systems, projectors, LED screens, lighting rigs, microphones, and video conferencing tools.

Work closely with event organizers, DJs, entertainers, and F&B teams to understand AV requirements.

Technical Management:

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during events promptly.

Conduct regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and calibration of AV equipment.

Maintain inventory of AV equipment, ensuring all items are in working condition.

Team Leadership:

Supervise and schedule AV technicians and casual staff for event coverage.

Train team members on equipment usage, safety, and standard operating procedures.

Guest Interaction:

Provide technical support to guests and performers as needed.

Maintain a professional, approachable attitude during high-energy events.

Compliance & Safety:

Ensure all AV setups comply with electrical and safety regulations.

Implement security measures for expensive AV equipment during beach parties and outdoor events.

 


What we need from you

Skills & Qualifications:

 

  • Education: Diploma or degree in Audio-Visual Technology, IT, or related field.

  • Experience: Minimum 2–3 years in AV operations; experience in hotels, beach resorts, or event venues preferred.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Sound systems (mixers, amplifiers, microphones)

    • Lighting systems (DMX control, stage lighting)

    • Video systems (projectors, LED screens, video walls)

    • Basic IT networking for AV integration

  • Soft Skills:

    • Strong leadership and communication skills

    • Ability to work under pressure during high-energy events

    • Problem-solving and quick decision-making

    • Comfortable working in beach/outdoor environments with humidity and sand exposure

    • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment as required.

    • Flexible to work nights, weekends, and during large-scale parties

    • DJ or music mixing knowledge.

    • Experience with large beach parties, festivals, or nightlife events.

    • Multilingual for guest interaction
