Your day to day

First impressions matter — and lasting ones even more. As a Guest Experience Trainee, you’ll be at the heart of delivering personalized, meaningful, and memorable moments for every guest. More than just a warm welcome, you’ll be the go-to person for insights, support, and experiences that go beyond expectations.

Every day brings a new opportunity to connect with people, but your key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Creating warm, sincere, and personalized welcomes for all guests.

  • Assisting in the smooth arrival and departure experience, while ensuring every interaction feels personal and genuine.

  • Proactively engaging with guests throughout their stay to enhance satisfaction and gather feedback.

  • Supporting the Guest Experience Manager in tracking guest preferences and ensuring VIPs, returning guests, and IHG One Rewards members receive tailored service.

  • Responding promptly to guest inquiries, special requests, and concerns — always turning issues into positive experiences.

  • Offering curated recommendations for local attractions, dining, and cultural activities that elevate the stay experience.

  • Collaborating with other departments (Housekeeping, F&B, Maintenance) to ensure seamless and cohesive service.

  • Assisting with guest surveys, follow-ups, and service recovery cases when needed.


What we need from you

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – able to build genuine rapport and connect with guests from different backgrounds and cultures.

  • Curiosity and local knowledge – you love your city and enjoy sharing unique, off-the-beaten-path experiences.

  • Adaptability and proactiveness – you stay one step ahead, responding to needs before they arise.

  • Discretion and professionalism – able to handle sensitive guest matters with care and confidentiality.

 

  • Tech-friendly and organized – comfortable using guest management systems, digital feedback platforms, and tracking preferences.
