HVAC Technician

Job Summary

Under the general direction of the Engineering Director and his/her delegate, and within the limits of established IHC and local Hotel policies and procedures, operates, maintains and repairs all aspects of the Heating and air conditioning system in the Hotel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Attends to repair and maintenance of HVAC equipment, such as centrifugal chillers, air cooled chillers, window units, package units and fan coil units, and other commercial/industrial HVAC equipment.
• Advise improvements to the present system in order to optimize the operating efficiency and economy of the said system.
• Assists maintenance engineer to prepare spare parts lists for the air conditioning equipment.
• Participates in hotel energy conservation program.
• Uses the appropriate safety clothing/ equipment and for following all Maintenance instructions laid down by the Chief Engineer
• Ensures that the supplied uniform is clean and good repair. Always maintain a clean and tidy appearance before entering a guest or public areas.
• Responds to a guest maintenance request within 15 minutes on receipt of the same.
• Demonstrates understanding and awareness of all company Policies and procedures relating to health hygiene and Fire life safety.
• Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Education:

Technical degree or bachelor's degree

Skills:

Familiar with all HVAC equipment’s and spare parts

Experience:

2 years
