What's the job?

As HR Coordinator you will support the administration of the hotel’s key people processes, including recruitment, onboarding and employee engagement, and provide general support to hotel teams as required. This is a cluster role supporting both InterContinental Sydney Coogee Beach and Holiday Inn Sydney Potts Point.

 

Your day to day

  • Maintain accurate colleague data, personnel files and HRIS records (including hires, changes, terminations and training attendance)
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment, contracting and onboarding with department leaders
  • Champion colleague engagement and well-being initiatives and drive colleague participation
  • Be first point of contact for all employee queries 
  • Provide day-to-day HR administration, including presentations, reports, audits
  • Partner with the National payroll team regarding colleague pay enquiries and assist colleagues and leaders with industry award questions, interpretation and application 
  • Provide policy, performance management support and coaching to leaders as required
  • Support Workplace Health & Safety requirements and participate in committee meetings.
  • Drive InterContinental brand standards and IHG’s Winning Ways: Do the right thing, Show we care, Aim higher, Celebrate difference and Work better together 

 

What we need from you

  • Full Australian working rights
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional presentation
  • High level of competency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Quick to learn new systems and processes
  • Strong time management with the ability to prioritise and work under pressure\
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information and maintain data privacy
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or Hospitality Management (or equivalent experience)
