InterContinental Mzaar Lebanon Mountain Resort and Spa is looking to hire an IT Manager.

The InterContinental Mzaar is located in the heart of the Lebanese Mountains, with 140 rooms and suites along with a variety of F&B outlets and banquet facilities in Lebanon.

To deliver a truly first-class service, we need an IT Manager capable of installing new systems, boosting security, and setting exceptional standards. While making sure our teams have all the tools and resources, they need to make a difference, right at their fingertips. 

 

A little taste of your day-to-day:

 

As IT Manager, you will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation of the IT department to provide exceptional products and services within brand operating standards. 

 

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

•    Diagnose Hardware and software problems and replace defective components and perform data backups and disaster recovery operations; maintain, administer computer networks and related computing environments including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations. 

•    Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware; operate master consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks, and to coordinate computer network access and use. 

•    Ensure to perform routine network startup and shutdown procedures and maintain control records. 

•    Design, configure, and test computer hardware, networking software and operating system software. 

•    Recommend changes to improve systems and network configurations and determine hardware or software requirements related to such changes. 

•    Confer with network users about how to solve existing system problems. 

•    Monitor network performance to determine whether adjustments need to be made, and to determine where changes will need to be made in the future. 

•    Focus on the rejuvenation of the room experience ensuring IT services and products will be constantly assessed to remain relevant and in keeping with Six Senses wellness and sustainability practices. 

•    Work in partnership with every department to ensure guest’s needs are determined /met and oversee the overall smooth operation. 

•    Continually focus on the rejuvenation of the room experience. 

•    Instill a cost-focused philosophy through training and education. 

•    Operate the property consistent with all legal, statutory and financial requirements and documentation, reporting systems, contractual obligations, security and safety protocols, communications, product and service standards, host management practices and budgetary controls are implemented, reviewed and maintained to ensure the successful operation of the hotel.

 

What We need from you:

 

•    Diploma in Computer Science or IT or related field 

•     5 years’ related experience with computer set-up and troubleshooting 

•     Working knowledge of networks, operating systems, and databases

•     Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

•     Knowledge in PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards) 

•     Great communication skills 

•     You’ll be a team player, proactive, responsible, hardworking, and able to work under pressure
