JOB OVERVIEW

The Income Audit Assistant is responsible for supporting the daily income audit process by reviewing, verifying, and reconciling hotel revenue transactions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

This role assists in monitoring financial transactions from various hotel outlets and departments while maintaining proper documentation and reporting in accordance with IHG standards and internal controls.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Revenue Verification & Reconciliation

  • Assist in reviewing and verifying daily hotel revenue transactions from all operational departments.
  • Reconcile revenues from Front Office, Food & Beverage, Banquets, and other hotel outlets.
  • Ensure all transactions are properly recorded and supported by complete documentation.

Audit Support

  • Assist in conducting daily income audit procedures and checks.
  • Review cash, credit card, city ledger, and other payment transactions for accuracy.
  • Identify discrepancies and coordinate with concerned departments for clarification and resolution.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare and maintain daily audit reports and supporting schedules.
  • Ensure proper filing and safekeeping of audit documents and financial records.
  • Assist in preparing summaries and financial reports required by management.

Compliance & Internal Controls

  • Ensure compliance with hotel accounting policies, internal controls, and IHG standards.
  • Support audit requirements and assist during internal and external audits.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information and records.

Coordination & Support

  • Coordinate with Front Office, F&B, and other departments regarding transaction discrepancies.
  • Assist the Finance team with administrative and accounting-related tasks when necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Financial Management, or related field.
  • Preferably with 1–2 years experience in accounting, finance, or hotel operations.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial reconciliation.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
