Key Responsibilities

Revenue Verification & Reconciliation

  • Review revenue reports from the PMS for all revenue sources, including Food & Beverage, Telephone, Laundry, and other departmental sales; sign off and resolve discrepancies.
  • Reconcile Banqueting Function checks and verify rates against agreements.
  • Review and post daily Journal Vouchers for manual transactions.
  • Verify Miscellaneous Credit, Revenue Adjustments, Discounts, Room Revenue, F&B Revenue, and Zero Rate reports (Complimentary & House Use Rooms).
  • Review Room Rate Variance, Room Status Discrepancy, Out of Order / Out of Service Rooms, Void Checks, Daily Entertainment / Employee Meals, and daily Paid Outs & Refunds.
  • Prepare and distribute the Daily Revenue Report and conduct reconciliation of daily sales revenue.

Audit & Cash Handling

  • Conduct Open Check tests and surprise checks in outlets, Front Office cashiers, and General Cashier floats.
  • Prepare General Cashier Summary, investigate over/short cash, and maintain ledger balances.
  • Perform other income audit-related duties as assigned.

Compliance & Taxation

  • Strong knowledge of VAT, Tax, and City Tax regulations applicable to hotel operations.
  • Ensure adherence to financial policies, internal controls, and audit procedures.

Work Attitude & Daily Operations

  • Demonstrates a positive, results-driven attitude.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and ensure timely completion of daily operational tasks.

 

General Duties / Safety & Compliance

  • Comply with FLS (Fire, Life, Safety) legislation and policies.
  • Use and maintain safety equipment responsibly; report damage or hazards.
  • Avoid activities that compromise personal or team safety.
  • Report accidents, dangerous occurrences, or hazards promptly.
  • Uphold moral and legal responsibilities in all work activities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Accounting, Finance (academic requirements may be relaxed for experienced candidates).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in income auditing within a hotel or hospitality environment, preferably in IHG properties.
  • Strong knowledge of USALI, PMS/POS systems (Opera, MICROS, SUN preferred).
  • Sound understanding of revenue controls, audit procedures, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and accounting software.
