Junior Reservations Agent

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Junior Reservations Agent to join our Cluster Reservations Team.

Job Overview 

As Junior Reservations Agent, you will handle requests from guests, companies and travel agents via phone or other platforms. You will also be working together in a team supporting day-to-day activities and generating monthly revenue targets.

 Responsibilities

          Creates and maintains reservation records and support with administrative duties 

  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and industry regulations when handling reservations and customer interactions. Helps develop room revenue and occupancy forecasts, by determining room rates based on the selling strategies of the hotel
  • Communicate and build rapport with internal stakeholder and ensure collective collaboration 
  • Prepare reports using both computerised reservation system and other computer software
  • Sell the InterContinental Hotels Group products and services using up-selling and suggestive selling techniques. 
  • Anticipate guest needs and provide an exceptional guest service in a timely manner, accurately and efficiently
  • Handling Reservations: Receive and process incoming reservation inquiries via phone, email, or online platforms.
  • Providing Information and Assistance: Answer customer inquiries regarding travel options, rates, availability, and any other relevant information. Offer recommendations based on customer preferences and provide details about additional services or amenities available.
  • Resolving Issues and Complaints: Act as a point of contact for customers encountering issues during their travel arrangements. Address complaints, resolve problems
  • Maintaining Records and Documentation: Keep detailed and accurate records of customer interactions, reservations, and any related correspondence.

Experience and Qualification

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication both written and verbal 
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to work independently 
  • Past experience in customer service, front office, guest relations or reservations will be an advantage 
  • Team player who values collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and fosters a positive company culture
