Job Scope
As a Kitchen Commis specializing in Ala Carte / Cold Kitchen, you will support the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes in our à la carte outlets and cold kitchen section. This is an ideal opportunity for a motivated individual passionate about food presentation and eager to learn from experienced chefs in a professional setting.
A little taste of your day-to-day
- Assisting in the preparation of cold dishes including salads, appetizers, and dressings.
- Supporting the ala carte line with mise en place and during service hours.
- Ensuring food is prepared and presented according to hotel standards.
- Following hygiene, sanitation, and food safety regulations.
- Keeping workstations clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times.
- Working closely with chefs and teammates to deliver timely, high-quality service.
- Assisting with receiving and storing kitchen supplies and ingredients.
What we need from you
- Previous experience is preferred, especially in Ala Carte / Cold Kitchen 5 Stars Hotels or Resorts.
- Basic culinary knowledge and a genuine passion for food.
- Previous experience or culinary education is an advantage but not essential.
- Good understanding of cold kitchen techniques and food handling.
- A team player with strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work under pressure and follow directions accurately.
- Flexible with shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
