As the Lead Global Strategy Director, you will provide strategic leadership to define and execute critical corporate, regional, and cross-functional projects at the Executive Committee (EC) level. Acting as the deputy to the VP, Group Head of Strategy and Office of the CEO, you will play a key role in setting a clear path for long-term profitable growth while challenging the status quo.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Agenda Development: Collaborate with the VP Group Head of Strategy, and IHG Executive Committee to shape IHG’s strategic agenda, ensuring alignment with long-term growth objectives while providing constructive challenges to the business.
- Project Leadership: Define, scope, and deliver complex strategic and cross-functional projects that develop market-leading strategies and optimize organizational structures and processes.
- Business Partnership: Work closely with various business units to ensure successful implementation of strategic outcomes, establishing clear roadmaps, ownership, and resource allocation.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with senior leaders across the organization, including the CEO, CFO, global function heads, and regional CEOs, to facilitate the delivery of key initiatives.
- Consulting Collaboration: Maintain robust relationships with strategic consulting partners, overseeing the development of Requests for Proposals (RfPs), project scoping, and successful project execution.
- Executive Communication: Create compelling presentations and communications for executive audiences, including EC and PLC Board memos, to share insights and solicit feedback.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of two Senior Managers and one Senior Analyst, fostering a culture of development, motivation, and successful project delivery.
- Deputy Responsibilities: Act as the deputy to the VP, Group Head of Strategy and Office of the CEO, managing day-to-day team operations and organizing team offsites and development activities.
Experience Required :
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in strategy consultancy or corporate strategy, with exposure to a diverse range of business issues and stakeholders.
- Proven strategic thinking ability with a track record of analyzing complex business issues and formulating market-leading strategies.
- Strong project management skills to scope, plan, and deliver intricate strategic and cross-functional projects.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence a wide range of stakeholders, including executive leadership.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a knack for creating impactful presentations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and motivate high-performing teams
