The resort’s four outdoor pools, expansive spa, fitness center and beach access provide a relaxing tropical getaway, while its 8,500 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space and onsite business center accommodate corporate events and blended travel. Additionally, three on-property restaurants, and beach and swim-up pool bars provide refreshment for guests following a day exploring nearby Cabrits National Park or Dominica’s various hot springs, waterfalls and canyons. 

 

JOB OVERVIEW: 

  • Manages the development, production and implementation of all marketing strategies, communications and related projects associated with the resort’s objectives.     

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Primary liaison to the resort’s PR and Social Media agency partners, working to achieve optimum results against established goals and objectives.  
  • Run and analyze key marketing reports; adjust strategy accordingly.  
  • Articulates campaign performance to key stakeholders (GM, Commercial team, Ownership).  
  • Manage the social media calendar working with resort agency; oversee local social media content.   
  • Lead the development of programming, packages and activations.   
  • Manage website content and updates, working with corporate team to optimize brand.com and drive revenue. 
  • Manage asset development (photoshoots, videos and presentations) to ensure up to date content for website and commercial channels.   
  • Serve as the resort’s brand guardian/liaison, ensuring all marketing reflects brand tone of voice. 
  • Manage internal and external partners to verify deliverables that support the resort’s objectives. 
  • Partner with Revenue Management to develop and execute promotional strategy efforts. 
  • Responsible for development of partnerships (local and regional) to include radio 
  • Partner with F&B to create events for in-house guests and local patrons. 
  • Evaluate potential influencer profiles to determine suitability for the resort 
  • Host and ensure all press and influencers have an optimal on-property experience. 
  • Create itineraries, monthly and ad-hoc reports. 
  • Develop and manage marketing communications budget working with Cluster DOSM. 
  • Coordinate creation of menus, flyers and collateral with graphic designer (IC Dominica) 
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

 

Qualifications and Requirements: 

  • College degree plus 5 years marketing experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Related degree preferred.  Prior hotel sales experience preferred.  Must speak fluent English.   
  • Demonstrated communication skills to interact with guests, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand, and the Company. 
  • Reading and writing abilities are utilized often when completing paperwork and management reports, interpreting results, giving and receiving instructions, and training.  
  • Mathematical skills, including basic math, budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages, and variances are utilized frequently. 
  • High level of competency in using Microsoft Office, Canva or related graphic design platform.   
  • Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities are used often.  
  • May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays. 

 

 Location: Dominica. This position is not eligible for remote work.

The annual salary range for this position is $27,000 – 29,000. USD.  This rate is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Grenada. This is the starting rate we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may pay more or less than the posted rate, and the rate may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
