Ensures the permanence of the reception during the night and ensures the quality of the services offered to clients. Is in charge of welcoming the guest and ensures Check In / Check Out.
Answers the phone at the reception
Prepares the next day’s arrivals (individual and group), prepares the letters addressed to the loyalty program’s members.
Performs the role of bellboy/valet during the night, upon guests’ requests.
Handles requests related to in-room Housekeeping (requests for extra beds, dental kit, etc.).
Checks the lobby’s and public spaces’ cleanliness during the night.
Manages the hotel’s parking’s opening and closing, checks the parked cars and charges the rooms accordingly.
Actively participates in the optimization of sales in his department and the hotel.
Knows perfectly the different types of rooms and their current rates.
Is fully familiar with the brand’s different loyalty programs to register guests.
Ensures the Front Office’s accounting: validation of invoices, collection of payments, preparation of accounting reports for the management.
Makes a report of the night and forwards any request from guests to the Front Office Agents taking over.
Is able to respond to any guest request and promote the other services offered by the hotel and the hotel group thanks to his perfect knowledge of our offers.
Ensures the best comfort for guests during their stay: comfort in the room and special requests. Provides a courteous and friendly service (to external and internal guests), while ensuring its effectiveness.
Makes enquiries about the events occurring within the hotel and outside of the hotel (fairs, congresses, seminars, etc.) and ensures that all employees are well informed.
Immediately informs his superiors, and possibly the Security Department, of any guest having a suspicious behavior or an attitude that is incompatible with the hotel's standing, as well as any guest present on the "blacklist".
Builds and maintains effective relationships with the other departments.
Conveys the right values and the good behaviors in his service as well as towards his colleagues and his hierarchy.

Informs the Management Team of any incident or problem that occurs during work hours, particularly those he is not able to solve or whose importance justifies it, whether it concerns work-related issues or employee-related problems.
Applies procedures and policies within the hotel and all new procedures according to the management orders and submits new propositions to the Management in order to improve the department efficiency. Applies the internal procedures in terms of health, hygiene and safety.
Applies and enforces environmental good practices in his department, particularly as part of the Green Globe certification (waste sorting, black & white printing, paperless meeting, etc.).
May be required to work in our two hotels of Geneva, InterContinental Genève & Crowne Plaza Geneva and exceptionally perform other duties at the request of his hierarchy
PROFIL :
Higher degree in Hospitality Management. Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar position in a hotel establishment of the same category (4- or 5-star) and capacity (+200 rooms). Fluent French and English. Mastering a third foreign language of one of our target markets (Germany, China, India, Italy, Middle East, Netherlands, Russia) is highly desirable. Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Opera. Autonomy, rigor, reactivity. Strong people- and service-orientation. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
