Bottom line? We’re looking for a Paymaster & General Cashier at Kimpton Tsim Sha Tsui Hong Kong who plays a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for the hotel employees, while also managing general cashiering responsibilities. This requires someone who is comfortable with balancing the books when it comes to managing the needs of owners, auditors and regulatory agencies while also monitoring and improving hotel profitability, providing full support to Operation Manager.

A little taste of your day-to-day

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

  • Responsible for maintaining records and documents related to any payroll activities and provides prompt and accurate payment of staff.

  • Performing payroll processing and month end closing of payroll and maintains control over actual payroll performance.

  • Responsible for the timely preparation of the daily banking of cash, preparing the General Cashiers Summary and processing petty cash.

  • Cooperating, coordinating and communicating with other departments in matters concerning payroll matters and internal control.

  • Interacting, as required, with individuals outside the hotel including hotel’s bank, tax auditors and other hotels and IHG corporate offices.

  • Working as an important member of hotel finance team and assisting in building your future finance team and culture.

     

 

What we need from you

  • A minimum of 2 years of solid relevant experience in payroll and general cashier operations in hotels.

  • A higher diploma in accounting, finance or a related discipline.

  • Hands-on, responsible, attention to details, possess strong sense of integrity. 

  • Excellent communication skills both internally and externally.

  • Well-versed the Hong Kong Labour Ordinance, the Hong Kong Employees' Compensation Ordinance and the Hong Kong MPF rules and regulations.

  • Familiarized with Sun Ledger and HR Server will be advantages.

  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office.

  • Proficiency in both English and Cantonese, speaking and writing.
