The Reservation Manager is responsible for overseeing the hotel's reservations department to maximize room revenue, occupancy, and guest satisfaction. This role involves managing a team of reservation agents, analyzing booking trends, maintaining rate integrity, and ensuring all reservations are processed efficiently and accurately. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of hotel distribution systems, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Supervise the reservations team and manage all room reservation activities for individual, group, and corporate bookings.
  • Maintain accurate inventory across all distribution channels (website, OTAs, GDS, direct bookings).
  • Monitor and adjust rates and availability in coordination with the Revenue Manager to optimize occupancy and revenue.
  • Ensure all reservations are entered accurately and updated with relevant guest preferences or special requests.
  • Handle VIP, long-stay, and group bookings, ensuring a seamless booking and arrival experience.
  • Train, coach, and evaluate the performance of reservation agents, maintaining high service and accuracy standards.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries, emails, and telephone calls regarding availability, rates, and policies.
  • Prepare regular reports on reservation activity, pick-up pace, cancellations, and market trends.
  • Collaborate with the Sales, Revenue, and Front Office teams to ensure alignment on group blocks, promotions, and occupancy forecasts.
  • Ensure reservation policies and procedures align with company standards and data protection regulations.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in hotel reservations or front office, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of reservation systems (e.g., Opera, SynXis, Sabre, etc.) and channel management platforms.
  • Solid understanding of hotel revenue management and distribution principles.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with a detail-oriented approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
