As our Reservations Manager, you’ll coordinate with revenue and front office teams to ensure every room night counts, every interaction reflects our standards, and every guest starts their journey with confidence.
- Oversee daily operations of the Reservations department with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
- Develop and coach team members through regular feedback and performance reviews
- Create development plans and foster a positive, collaborative working environment
- Promote strong coordination and communication across departments
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training initiatives
- Monitor scheduling to align with business levels and control payroll costs
- Create and manage the department’s annual budget and targets
- Monitor room inventory, availability, and blackout dates for maximum yield
- Ensure all rates, packages, and internal promotions are accurately loaded across all systems
- Track reservation pick-up, group bookings, no-shows, cancellations, and report accordingly
- Follow up on lost business leads and analyze booking trends for improvement
- Support upselling efforts and encourage the team to meet revenue targets
- Ensure a high level of product knowledge and awareness of IHG Hotels and promotions
- Manage VIP and special guest bookings with care and attention
- Oversee pre-arrival, confirmation, amendment, and cancellation communication
- Monitor OTA/TA extranets and maintain accuracy in third-party channels
- Review and audit team’s service delivery, including call handling and upselling techniques
- Maintain IHG brand standards across all reservation touchpoints
- Prepare and execute action plans to increase reservation sales
- Assist with ad-hoc projects and collaborate during high-demand or special events
- Bachelor’s degree, higher education qualification or equivalent in Hotel Administration / Business Administration
- Two to Three years’ prior tenure in a similar role
- International luxury hotel chain background; GCC exposure
- Hands-on knowledge of hotel systems, market intelligence tools (STR, Amadeus, etc.)
- Proficiency in English is essential; additional language skills are a valuable asset
