Room Attendant - InterContinental Abu Dhabi

A little taste of your day-to-day:

As a Room Attendant, you will play an essential role in creating a comfortable, clean, and welcoming environment for our guests. Every beautifully prepared room contributes to the overall guest experience, and your attention to detail will help ensure our guests feel relaxed and well cared for throughout their stay.

• Cleaning and preparing guest rooms according to InterContinental brand and hotel standards.
• Making beds, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, and ensuring all areas of the room are thoroughly cleaned.
• Replenishing guest amenities, towels, linen, and other room supplies as required.
• Ensuring guest rooms are well presented, organized, and ready for arrival within the required timeframe.
• Checking room equipment, fixtures, and facilities and promptly reporting any maintenance requirements.
• Identifying and reporting lost and found items in accordance with hotel procedures.
• Respecting guest belongings, privacy, and confidentiality at all times.
• Responding to guest requests in a warm, courteous, and timely manner.
• Ensuring housekeeping trolleys, equipment, and supplies are maintained in a clean and organized condition.
• Maintaining cleanliness and presentation standards in assigned corridors and service areas.
• Following established procedures for handling linen, amenities, cleaning materials, and chemicals safely.
• Reporting any unusual circumstances, safety concerns, or damages to the appropriate supervisor.
• Working closely with Housekeeping Supervisors, Front Office, Engineering, and other departments to ensure rooms are prepared efficiently.
• Supporting deep-cleaning activities and other Housekeeping requirements when needed.
• Following all hotel health, safety, hygiene, and security procedures.
• Using hotel supplies and resources responsibly to minimize waste.
• Maintaining professional grooming and presentation standards at all times.
• Demonstrating IHG values through positive and respectful interactions with guests and colleagues.

What we need from you:

• Previous experience as a Room Attendant, Housekeeping Attendant, or in a similar role, preferably within a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Previous experience within a luxury or international hotel would be an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
• A positive, responsible, and hardworking approach.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• The ability to complete assigned rooms efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
• A genuine commitment to guest service and hospitality.
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a diverse team.
• An understanding of basic housekeeping, hygiene, and safety procedures.
• The ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including standing, walking, bending, and handling housekeeping equipment throughout the shift.
• Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Basic English communication skills; additional languages would be an advantage.
