What’s the job?
Participates in sales activities and events and assists Sales Manager in successful achievement of budget & forecasted room revenues in accommodation and other revenue generation areas.
A little taste of your day-to-day:
Every day is different at IHG, but you’ll mostly be:
• Planning sales strategies with the Sales Manager and implementing tactics to achieve the budget
• Selling all facets of the hotel
• Establishing new business and nurturing existing accounts through action plans
• Handling accounts and prospects—often jointly with senior team members
• Converting leads into confirmed business
• Soliciting and closing business within established parameters
• Conducting familiarizations and site inspections to showcase the property
• Monitoring the competitive set and adapting strategies as needed
• Entertaining key clients to sustain relationships and generate new sales
• Participating in client interviews and reporting on sales activities and successes
• Supporting the Sales Manager with campaigns, mailings, and collateral distribution
• Attending regular sales meetings and maintaining a structured call pattern
What we need from you:
● Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in Hotel Management/ Business Administration
● 2/3 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills
● A passion for sales with a customer-centric approach
● Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
● Confident, outgoing, and able to build relationships with ease
● Ability to multitask and work independently or within a team
● Flexibility to work with changing business needs, including evenings or weekends as required
