Position Summary
The Security Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all security operations across the resort to ensure the safety and security of guests, colleagues, visitors, property, and assets. The role ensures that security procedures, emergency response protocols, loss prevention measures, and IHG standards are consistently implemented and maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the daily operations of the Security Department.
- Ensure the safety and security of all guests, colleagues, visitors, and resort assets.
- Develop, implement, and regularly review security policies, procedures, and operational standards.
- Conduct regular security inspections and identify potential risks, hazards, and security vulnerabilities.
- Monitor and manage CCTV, access control, alarm systems, and other security systems.
- Coordinate emergency response procedures, including fire, medical emergencies, evacuation, and other incidents.
- Investigate security incidents, accidents, theft, loss, and other reported cases, ensuring accurate documentation and follow-up.
- Prepare and maintain detailed security reports, incident reports, daily logs, and investigation records.
- Coordinate with local authorities, emergency services, and relevant external agencies when required.
- Manage access control and ensure appropriate authorization for colleagues, contractors, suppliers, and visitors.
- Oversee the security of guest areas, back-of-house areas, staff facilities, parking areas, and other resort premises.
- Conduct regular patrols and ensure appropriate security coverage across the property.
- Lead security briefings, training sessions, drills, and emergency preparedness exercises.
- Ensure all Security colleagues are properly trained, briefed, and equipped to perform their duties.
- Monitor colleague performance, attendance, grooming, conduct, and compliance with resort standards.
- Support investigations related to colleague misconduct, property loss, or violations of security procedures.
- Work closely with Human Resources, Engineering, Rooms, F&B, and other departments on security-related matters.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive security information and investigation records.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Saudi laws, regulations, civil defense requirements, and resort policies.
- Support business continuity and crisis management planning.
- Review security risks associated with VIP guests, events, special functions, and high-profile visits.
- Ensure all security equipment and systems are maintained and operational.
- Identify opportunities to improve security procedures, reduce risks, and enhance overall resort safety.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Leadership & People Management
- Supervise, coach, and develop Security team members.
- Prepare duty rosters and ensure adequate security coverage at all times.
- Conduct regular briefings and communicate operational updates effectively.
- Monitor team performance and provide feedback and corrective action where required.
- Promote a culture of safety, professionalism, confidentiality, and service excellence.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Hospitality Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant security experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial position.
- Previous experience in a luxury hotel, resort, hospitality, or large-scale property environment is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of security operations, risk management, emergency procedures, and incident investigation.
- Knowledge of Saudi security, safety, and Civil Defense requirements is an advantage.
- Experience managing CCTV, access control, and other security technologies.
- Strong leadership, communication, investigation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make effective decisions during emergency situations.
- Good command of English; Arabic is highly desirable.
- Strong computer skills and ability to prepare professional reports and documentation.

Working Conditions
- The position requires flexibility to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and during emergencies.
- The Security Manager must be available to respond to critical incidents and security emergencies when required.
- The role involves regular movement throughout the resort and may require extended periods of standing or walking.
