Role Purpose
Support the development and execution of IHG events and campaigns, including Wedding Fairs, Tradeshows, Bookers Reward Club (BRC) events and MICE campaigns. Coordinate with advertising agencies and production vendors in event set-up, creative design and collateral production according to IHG and Brand standards. Manage marketing budgets and invoices, and track performance to ensure event or campaign objectives are met.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage Agencies and Vendors: Manage day-to-day relationship, process and standards with IHG’s advertising agencies and production vendors to achieve brand compliance, cost efficiencies and on-time delivery of out-sourced work.
- Execute Events / Campaigns: Partner internal stakeholders (S&M Operations, F&B, Marketing Communications, Brand Marketing, Guest Marketing, Hotel Loyalty Marketing, Regional Sales Office) and external stakeholders (advertising agencies, production vendors, hotel teams) to develop scalable events and campaign support process that can be repeatedly executed within budget and adhering to IHG standards.
- Leverage Marketing Resources: Fully optimize the use of IHG Marketing resources including S&M playbooks and tool kits, collateral templates, stock photography, Brand guidelines, training platforms, and media relationships to drive performance of IHG events and campaigns.
- Collaborate with Hotels: Coordinate closely with Area and hotel teams to execute events and campaigns on the ground, ensuring hotel needs are met while IHG standards are followed.
- Production and Fulfillment: Deliver successful event and collateral production and fulfillment by understanding stakeholder requirements, using Brand knowledge and building on vendor or agency strengths.
Key Skills & Experiences
Required Skills –
- Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time within tight deadlines
- An eye for detail to maintain IHG standards for content, collateral and events
- Deep understanding of Brand requirements across IHG’s portfolio of hotel Brands and loyalty programs
- Results-driven with strong focus on tracking performance and maximizing marketing spend
- Good Chinese and English communication skills (verbal and written) that instills confidence in hotels, corporate and external stakeholders
- Ability to find creative solutions to day-to-day challenges in events or campaign production
- Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint is required
- General knowledge of hotel operations and systems is preferred
Qualifications –
- Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or relevant field.
Experience –
- 3 to 5 years of experience in event management, brand management, creative production
- Proven experience working in or with advertising agencies and production vendors is required
- Demonstrated experience in managing marketing budgets and tracking performance of events and campaigns
