A little taste of your day-to-day

Develop business through direct sales solicitation; secure new accounts, maintain existing accounts and execute tactical sales plans strategy to maximize the profitability of the hotel while maintaining guest satisfaction.  Oversee client functions to ensure customer satisfaction.

 

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be

  • Drive revenue growth by proactively selling guest rooms and suites.

  • Identify, prospect, and qualify new corporate volume accounts to expand market share.
  • Execute strategic sales initiatives, including marketing plan development, short- and long-term action planning, decision-making, leadership, and innovation in promotional campaigns.
  • Implement sales action plans aligned with overall marketing strategy and hotel objectives.
  • Showcase hotel offerings through client entertainment, on-site tours, and off-site presentations while ensuring compliance with all accounting and payment policies.
  • Collaborate closely with Group Sales and Catering teams to ensure seamless execution of joint sales efforts.
  • Maintain accurate account records and activity tracking within Delphi for all assigned accounts.
  • Coordinate and delegate follow-up activities, ensuring timely and effective client engagement.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries and develop client proposals in accordance with hotel pricing and policy guidelines.
  • Plan and conduct sales trips to key client locations with leadership approval; identify and report on emerging market opportunities.
  • Provide regular market intelligence and feedback on competitive trends and changing conditions.
  • Organize and host familiarization (FAM) trips and site inspections for major clients.
  • Partner with corporate sales teams to maximize exposure and penetration of key accounts.
  • Increase brand visibility by cross-selling within the hotel portfolio.
  • Communicate sales-related updates effectively across departments to support operations.
  • Maintain strong visibility with target accounts through direct outreach, calls, and written communication.
  • Complete Lost Business Reports in accordance with standards and ensure future follow-up opportunities are tracked.
  • Stay informed on market trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategies.
     

What we need from you

  •  Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a hotel sales role, preferably with a focus on corporate sales.

  • Proven track record of prospecting, developing, and managing corporate accounts to drive revenue growth.
  • Strong knowledge of local businesses, market dynamics, and industry trends.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic sales and marketing plans.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and partnerships.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with sales, catering, and operations teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Delphi) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently while contributing to team goals.

 

What you can expect from us

The hourly pay range for this role is $45.00 to $55.00 ($93,600 to $114,400 annually). This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
