You’ll be working with a friendly, motivated team who you will recruit and lead with your distinctive style and work with them to develop their full potential and ensure everyone provides genuine heartfelt care to our guests.
Regarding the role, it’s as the job title says really, you will be out in the Hotel. You are responsibility for the whole team that the guests will come to your area to have calm and relaxed experiences, so it’s key that you know your stuff.
You will need to use your great communication skills and build strong relationships with the other teams to ensure our guests stay is seamless and effortless.
It’s a physical role and although there are the usual meetings and briefings, you will be on your feet most of the day out and about in the hotel chatting with your guests and your team, so fitness will be key for you, although reasonable adjustments will be made where we can.
Cuts, threads, assembles and installs pipes; connects valves; caulks joints; and tests finished job by allowing water to flow through.
Perform electrical installation, maintenance and repairs.
Installs gas, water, steam, and sanitary fixtures and equipment with their supports, hangers, or foundations.
To understand and strictly adhere to the Rules & Regulations established in the Employees Handbook and the Hotel’s policy on Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety.
To report for duty punctually always wearing the correct uniform and nametag.
To maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
To maintain a good rapport and working relationship with staff in the outlet and all other departments.
To attend and contribute to all staff meetings Departmental and Hotel Training as scheduled and other related activities.
To fully support the Departmental Training Function in the Department assigned.
To undertake any reasonable tasks and secondary duties as assigned by the Assistant Chief Engineer or Chief Engineer.
To respond to any changes in the Engineering function as dictated by the hotel.
To project always a positive and motivated attitude and exercise self-control.
To have a complete understanding of the Operations Manual and Policies & Procedures.
To ensure that the Place of Work and surrounding area is kept clean and always organized.
To assist the Duty Engineer in the effective implementation of the Engineering Policies and Procedures in the assigned Place of Work. Through hands-on management conduct and supervise day-to-day Repair and Maintenance and assigned projects required to keep the equipment, building and grounds in optimum condition.
You need to participate in the Hotel Energy and maintenance Committees to assist the Hotel operation in implementing stringent energy and maintenance procedures. Furthermore, you need to be a member of the Hotel Firefighting and Emergency Team. Last and not least, all plumbing, electrical & mechanical tasks will be under your scope of work.
