Summer Teen Academy

This position is a Room Attendant, summer hire for the 2025 IHG Army Hotels Teen Academy for qualified teens.

Qualifications - You must be in one of the following three categories:

  • The relative of a current IHG Army Hotels - JBSA Colleague.
  • The dependent of a JBSA DOD employee.
  • The dependent of a JBSA Military Service member.

You must be between the ages of 14 - 17 as of the program start date.

Program Start Date:  Friday, 6/9/25. 

Program End date:  Thursday, 8/7/25.

Pay rate: $16.69

Hours:  Will not to exceed 8 hours per day, or 40 hours per week. 

*Start/end dates may vary by school district

We are looking for energetic and conscientious teens that are interested in working this summer at IHG Army Hotels – JBSA.  Our goal is to introduce you to the world of hotels and hopefully spark an interest in a career in the hospitality industry.  You will help us provide excellent service to our guest, work in the various hotel departments, and at the same time earn a generous paycheck. 

Your Teen Academy Employment Will Include:

  • Working alongside our Room Attendant team to clean and service our guestrooms.
  • Work alongside our Houseperson team to clean public areas, bathrooms, trash removal, and restocking of housekeeping carts.
  • You will work in the laundry facility to understand the process flow of the hotels’ linen.
  • You will work in the breakfast facility to learn about food prep and service.
  • Participate in field trip activities.
  • Join in community service activities.
  • Complete an essay review of your Teen Academy experience.

This job requires the ability to perform the following: 

  •  Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds and pushing and or pulling approximately 200 pounds 
  •  Frequently standing up and moving about the facility
  •  Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility 
  • Frequently bending, stooping, and kneeling,
