Role Overview: As the Vice President of Enterprise Risk, you will act as the primary contact for enterprise risk across the organization. You’ll establish the vision, strategy, and priorities for deploying governance, risk, and control expertise to support informed business choices.

With your expertise and influence, you’ll elevate our risk agenda, navigate the complexities of global operations, and ensure our business is positioned for success.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and embed IHG’s capability to identify, assess, and profile risks and controls. Collaborate with our senior team to evaluate risk trends, appetite, and control frameworks to mitigate exposures effectively.
  • Integrated Reporting: Coordinate and structure integrated reporting on governance, risk, and control for the Executive Committee, Audit Committee, and Board, ensuring we make the correct choices and are compliant with external reporting requirements.
  • Crisis Management & Business Continuity: Direct the Group’s Global Business Continuity Strategy, measuring and reporting on the effectiveness of crisis management tools. Provide expert advice and guidance on crisis management for strategic projects and key functions.
  • Material Control Governance: Oversee the portfolio of material controls related to principal risks, including fraud and non-financial reporting. Drive consistent evaluation and reporting of control effectiveness across IHG.
  • Fraud Risk Management: Coordinate a centralized fraud risk management capability, influencing the integration of fraud risk management and internal control frameworks across the organization.

    • In-depth knowledge of Enterprise Risk, Governance, Control, and Resilience.
    • Valuable experience of working within a large and complex global organisation of a similar size and scale 
    • An influential leader who inspires, builds, and motivates their teams within a high-performance culture with experience of dynamic change and transformation.
  • Communication & Relationship Building: Exceptional ability to operate and communicate effectively to Board level, with a talent for establishing strong internal relationships across a global organization.
  • Transformational Vision: Ability to articulate and collaborate with colleagues to deliver and drive their vision in a time of transformation and change
  • Global Perspective: A global mindset with experience of working across various geographies and different cultures.
